Visiting the Tar Heels

I’ve been keeping busy since graduation.  I’ve spent a lot of time with NSP gearing up for Orientation, but I’ve also been able to spend some time watching baseball, like the Salem Red Sox.

And spending time at the pool.  How great is it that I have a view of Lane Stadium and the mountains from my pool?

Recently, I traveled to the Research Triangle for an interview on UNC-Chapel Hill’s campus.  I took some time to run around campus and explore.  UNC-Chapel Hill was the first state institution in the nation.

I made a point to see the sports arenas, too.  Here is the Kenan-Memorial Stadium for the football team.  I’m pretty sure my high school stadium was bigger, but whatev.

I couldn’t get a great picture of the Dean Dome, but I did see Hubert Davis while I was riding past the arena.  NBD.

Insert picture of random bell tower on campus.

I had a wonderful time in Chapel Hill and the surrounding area, but I was definitely happy to be home in Blacksburg.

Maroon & Orange > Carolina Blue— Sorry I’m not sorry.

Stay tuned for a beautiful summer in Blacksburg and my travels to Smith Mountain Lake this week and Penn State University next week.
