Being an Eagle

In some form or fashion I’ve been an Aggie, Hokie, Blue Devil, Bulldog, and now…I am a very proud Eagle.  I am officially working for the University of Mary Washington and while I’ve only been on the clock for six days, I’m really loving it.

My first day of work had me on the Rhappahannock River kayaking (There are no pictures because with my luck, my phone would have drowned in the river).

I spent my second day of work with a group of students and staff at a Nationals baseball game in DC.

Since then, I’ve spent some time in my office trying to organize my thoughts, meet with folks, and make navy match maroon and orange.

Here’s more of my office  (I’ve noted some of the highlights):

Other highlights of the new job?

  1. I don’t pay for parking and I literally park 50 feet from my office.
  2. One of my co-workers brought me a bag of dark chocolate M&Ms.  Just because.
  3. I got a new iPad.
  4. I work with some really fun people who like food as much as I do.
  5. Last night, my job was to watch the Hunger Games.

I’ve met some really wonderful people and learn new things every day.  Stay tuned for life in Fredericksburg 🙂
